Brunch at First Watch

On Christmas Eve Day, we had a late brunch--for some of us, it was lunch--at First Watch. This chain serves breakfast and lunch, and has very consistent food and a comfortable atmosphere. The location next to Sarasota Square mall also has outdoor seating on a lake with lovely water views. Dogs are permitted outdoors.

I've eaten several times at First Watch and always get a salad. The salads are yummy and fresh. If you're a health freak like me, you'll love the Superfood Kale Salad with chicken, maple roasted carrots, dried cranberries, almonds, and a lemon dressing.

My mom loves their egg sandwich with avocado, bacon, and arugula on a brioche bun.

The men chose the burrito special, stuffed with carnitas and garnished with pickled red onions.

My daughter chose the biscuits and turkey sausage gravy with eggs on the side.

If you order coffee or hot tea, they leave a full pot on the table for each person so you can refill your own cup as desired. We asked for water and were given a large glass carafe of iced water for the table. When our water got low, another carafe was provided immediately.

The service is quick and friendly. The food is fresh and tasty. The prices are quite reasonable. There is no reason not to try First Watch for breakfast or lunch!
